Meet the Team
Kevin St. Germain
Kevin St. Germain
Kevin has over 23 years of public accounting experience. He spent the first seven years of his career working in the Northeast for Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers) and Deloitte and Touché. He spent the next eleven years working for both a local and a regional public accounting firm in Charleston, South Carolina. Kevin’s public accounting experience has primarily been in the field of income taxation, although he started out in the audit department. His income taxation experience has been, for most of his career, as a generalist working with family owned businesses. Kevin has also had a lot of experience working with partnership taxation and helping clients structure business transactions.
In 2006, Kevin focused his practice around working with ultra-high net worth families and institutions that service these families. Kevin assists these families with income taxation, estate/gift taxation, and financial planning. He also helps these families with structuring pooled family investment partnerships. In 2011, Kevin left Dixon Hughes (now Dixon Hughes Goodman) and launched Family Office Solutions, LLC. This company, which was a lift out of Kevin’s practice, is focused on being an outsource solution for single family offices as well as multi-family offices and their clients.
Kevin’s current duties include mentoring staff, maintaining lead client relationships, business development, practice management, and setting the overall direction of the firm.
Kevin graduated from Marist College with a B.S. in Accounting and is certified to practice public accounting in New York and South Carolina. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Morgan Williams
Morgan Williams
Morgan has over 15 years of experience working with high net worth individuals and ultra-high net worth families. He started his career as a registered securities broker at Wachovia Securities, where he sharpened his understanding of the securities markets as well as complex investment vehicles. Subsequently, he joined Sterne, Agee & Leach, where he served as manager of fixed income investments for an investment advisory group with over $200 million in assets under management. While at Sterne-Agee, Morgan developed an interest in complex income taxation and estate tax planning, which led him to pursue his master’s degree in accounting, with a concentration on taxation.
After Morgan earned his master’s degree in 2008, he began working with Kevin at Dixon Hughes. Morgan primarily focused on family office services, including, but not limited to relationship management, income & estate tax planning, personal budgeting, as well as trust, estate and investment partnership accounting, and income tax compliance.
Morgan left Dixon Hughes in 2011 to help launch Family Office Solutions. His current duties include managing larger client relationships as well as coordinating and supervising work performed for these clients. Morgan is also primarily responsible for designing the processes and refining the technology solutions utilized by the firm.
Morgan earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Georgia and a M.S. in Accountancy, with honors, from the College of Charleston. He is certified to practice public accounting in South Carolina and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
